I would like to direct my question to Dr. Blachly.
IT has been 7 wks . approx. since I completed chemo. My neuropothy in feet and fingers has not changed. Is there anything I can do to improve my situation? Would exercise or warm water or cold treatment help?
Do you think my numbness is a life sentence or do you think it will i prove?
Thanks for your attention. My appointment with you is early Sept.

I have heard recently that the CA-125 blood test used to detect Ovarian cancer should be a part of a woman's annual checkup just like the Pap smear and Breast Exam. It was compared to the PSA test given to men. Do you think this test is beneficial if the patient has no particular symptions and is it relatively inexpensive? I have a strong family history of breast cancer and I did take tamoxifen for almost 5 years as a preventive measure....answer

ON Oct 10 2001 I had surgery for ovarian
caner. I had a complete hysterectomy,
cancer was stage 1. I took 6 treat-
ments of taxel and carbo. This was
followed by 3 months on arimidex. I
worked the entire time I took chemo,
but when the chemo stopped, and the
steroids stopped I hit bottom. I have
constant bone pain, deep in the bones
of hips, legs, feet and back. This pain
is worse in my hips and back. The Dr.
who treated me says he has had no one
complain of bone pain with these
drugs. Do you have any post-cancer
patients who complain of this? My
family Dr. says he has not had the
experience of too many post-cancer
patients. I take tramadol, but nothing
seems to help and I am never pain free.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!...answer
