I had an external hemorrhoid lanced last night. They removed the clot and sent me on my way. The next day my hemorrhoid was still pretty painful and hadn't really shrunk in size at all. I was wondering if this is normal for the hemroid to remain there and disappear over the course of a few days (same for the pain) or should this almost be an instant thing. These are clearly things I should have asked the doctor who did it but I think I was a little anxious to just get out of there. Thanks! ...answer

I am 31 years old and weigh over 500 lbs. I have recently taken my health into serious consideration. Like many, I have tried the diets and cutting back on my eating, etc. I know that weight just doesn't drop off, but I don't see any results. I get discouraged and don't stick to my low calorie/ low fat habits like I should. My question is concerning Lap Band surgery. I do not have insurance because of my income, but at the same time I can't get Medicaid because of my income. Are there any programs that would pay for the procedure, of course after extensive evaluation? I am very ready to free myself of this weight burden. I could be more active and maintain if I had a jump start. Maybe it may be as simple as getting my Endocrine system evaluated or my Thyroids examined and medicated. Please help with any answers. Thank You....answer
