I have NASH of the liver they gave me simvastatin drug to take to lower my cholesterol. On the paper work it said DO NOT TAKE IF YOU HAVE LIVER DIEASE.So is this safe? Please advise Thank You Pat Marchbanks...answer

Have chronic pain in upper abdomon, also pain in colon. I have had this for years. I'm on gerd meds. and med. for IBS. I have esophageal spasams also a hiatal hernia. i recently had an EGD done. It showed some changes caused by reflux, a hiatal hernia, and two erosions in the stomach. The doctor also ordered a biopsy of some bacteria that was found during the procedure. I have never heard of a biopsy on bacteria. Should I be concerned about this or any of the other findings of the EGD?...answer

i have a 16 yearold daughter who had acid reflux diagnosed 3 years ago she has recently took advil,sinus meds it has upset her acid in stomach she cant eat throat pain everything accosiated with gerd. she was on prilosec 20mg dr cut her down to 10mg before this happened now she is on previcid 30mg 2 times a day when she takes this she gets sick at stomach acid comes up in thoat burns is this norm i thought the pill kept it from coming up is the pill too strong for her she weighs 128 does she need the pill does she have too much acid or not enough where she cant eat she has been doing good for 3 years heartburn every now then until 2 weeks ago now she cant eat just water she is weak dizzy losing weight is previcid helpng or hurting her more what do i need to do...answer

My 12 year old son has frequent bouts of stomach acid/heartburn, as well as frequent occurrences of mouth sores/canker sores inside his mouth. We have tried changing his diet to exclude acidic foods/drinks but it doesn't seem to help. We treat the mouth sores with Hydrogen Peroxide and the frequent heartburn with Tums. These bouts occur often, more than three times in 7 days, usually. What else should we do?...answer

I've been diagnosed with diverticulosis. I'm in a tremendous amount of pain daily. I've changed the foods I eat, how much I eat and when I eat. I've incorporated more fruits, vegetables and fiber into my diet. I don't drink alcohol or caffienated drinks, just water and fruit juices. But still the pain persists. It's excruciating at times, leading to nausea and fatigue. I am starting a business and just don't have the time to lie around feeling lousy. Is there anything I should or should not be doing or some little magic pill that will fix all this. I was told I could have part of my colon cut out, but at this time, surgery is not an option I want to consider. Surely there are other options? Thank you for your time. Ann...answer
