a while back i was using sarna lotion on a resident at work almost daily. one day, within a minute of using it, i lost my voice. since then, increasingly, i have out-of-the-blue allergic reactions to things that have never bothered me--perfume, incense, cleaners at work, potpourri (sp?), etc. even a coworker's body wash affects me if i get within six feet of her. it doesn't occur often, but each episode is worse--last time i had trouble breathing, my vision grayed and was "swimming," my face and throat felt like they were swelling, rapidly, and my voice was gone within seconds. i've been keeping sublingual alavert with me and using them, and the last time i chewed benadryl at work. it's worked so far, but it's scaring me. is there anything i can get for immediate use in these cases?...answer I have recently broke out in hives because I acquired an allergic reaction to amoxicillan. I feel that my skin is much more sensitive since the hive breakout. Meanwhile, I've had another allergic reaction- I think from some new perfume. the breakout was on my face and neck- it was small bumps and had a burning sensation. I took zyrtec and I was fine in an hour. Can you tell me if because of the hives, is it normal to acquire new allergies?
